“harding university’s band sucks”

Actually, this post has nothing to do with Harding University or it’s band. The title is a Google search that brought someone to this blog recently. I have absolutely no idea why. I don’t think that I have ever posted anything about Harding. Weird.

    It’s your profile page.

The search is for keywords not the phrase.

You went to harding, you like bands, and “radio sucks”. University doesn’t match up..but 3 out of 4 ain’t bad. 🙂

I get weird ones all the time too. Most really make me laugh. Here’s two from the last hour:

“Reasons why I should like my wife” (funny)

“10 Things to get my wife for Christmas” (I think they are really pushing the deal line.)

That is a hoot! So, DOES Harding University’s band suck??? 🙂

    Katherine,

Like many other universities, Harding has several bands. Of course, I graduated in ’94 and haven’t set foot on campus in over 7 years, so I can’t attest to the current quality. When I was there, they seemed to have a pretty good marching band. However, they also had the excrable Belles & Beaux, a group that went to youth rallies and such and did covers of contemporary hits. They were awful! They were matching outfits and most of them were barely competent at their instruments. You remember that Blues Traveller song “Runaround”? They covered that, but none of them knew how to play harmonica. How are you going to cover Blues Traveller songs without a harmonica? I used to skip the chapels where they would perform. I still shudder just thinking about it.

  5. Odgie, that one is tame. I get some real bottom feeders.
